She Lived Her Best Life

Lived Her Best Life.

I still remember like it was yesterday, the day our friends asked if Mike and I would be Rosie’s Retirement home.  It was a little over 8 years ago, to the day, she came to live down on Back Bay.

Rosie was bought at an auction, before she was a year old, no one really knows her story or her age, but from the day her first family brought her home, she became ‘The Princess’.  She was loved and cared for by a beautiful family, that had three little girls and Rosie was the center of their world.  Over the years Rosie gave birth to 4 calves, as well as an endless abundance of milk to many families.  As the girls grew older, farming was not a priority as the girls were leaving home, Rosie was aging and they were hopeful we would say yes.

Mike and I looked endlessly for the right barn, hours of thought went into how to make a suitable retirement home for the old girl.  We found the perfect barn (her castle) with the help of friends we were able to make our field suitable for a princess.

The day finally arrived, Rosie was arriving, I was nervous.  A year before, I decided to get chickens, which Mike always said, ‘chickens are the gateway to livestock’!!  Well, here we are, just like that, we are farmers.  What could possibly go wrong??  I am pretty sure the neighbors all thought I was crazy (I am, just a little), we were going to have a pet cow.

Rosie settled in quickly, she was approximately 10 at the time, she was full of life, she would run and frolic down through the field, rub up against all the sappy trees, eat all the green grass she could find.  Over the years she had a routine, every morning you would see her standing down in the field watching the sunrise.  Rosie was a presence, she was solid, she was pure magic.  It is easy looking back and realizing that she would always life live on her terms, which I will call complete stubbornness, (I personally understand, stubborn).  She was going to have it her way, ALL THE TIME.  She LOVED attention and our world revolved around her.

She loved parties, she loved kids, she loved having everyone over to see her magical kingdom.   The Garden Club would come spend the day, they would paint watercolors of her in her barn, feed her romaine lettuce and kale, while surrounded by chickens, birds, butterflies, deer, she was the magic piece that made our property ‘heaven on earth’.

Over the years Mike and Miss Rosie had a very special relationship, he adored her and the feeling was 100% mutual. He would clean her barn, she would throw around the wheel barrow, she would stand endlessly in his way, he would try to have conversations about why she needed to keep out of his way, but she never really listened, and he knew she would not.  Rosie had a way of ‘knowing’ who was coming down the driveway, and it never failed, the minute Mike was home, she was waiting at the gate for him. Every evening Mike would take her out 4 pink lady apples (her favorite) and he would brush her, there was nothing better than having her coat groomed by the man she loved.

Rosie was known for only eating ‘approved’ hay, and I assure you, we traveled far to get the hay that she would eat.  I had brought home enough ‘unaccpetable’ bales of hay, that she would go a week without touching what was there, if anyone ever wondered if a cow can give a ‘stink-eye’, YES, YES they can.

Having a #1100 pet also comes with a few complications.  While Rosie was mostly respectful of the fence, which was basically pretty ribbons that held her in, periodically I would have to turn the electric on, once she figured out there was green grass up the road, she would wander the neighborhood.  She loved visiting the neighbors, she loved nibbling their apple trees, sometimes I think she was looking for love, and sometimes she would just like to leave free fertilizer around.  A few mornings, I would get a random text that Rosie was sleeping on their lawn, or I would look out and someone was walking her home.  Usually, once a year I would get a call at work as Rosie was spotted on snap chat visiting the neighbors barn, and I would rush out of work leaving a patient on my table to get Rosie back home.  She was special, she was funny and she was going to always have it on her terms. One summer morning, when I went to say good morning, she had about 20 porcupine quills sticking right out of the top of her head!!!! ( A cowicorn!!)  I spent the day feeding her apples, and chasing her around with pliers, at the end of the day, I avoided an embarrassing call to the vet!!

Rosie had a daily routine, in the summer she would lay in one spot down in the field, I always said, “that is her power spot, she's charging the earth”, over the years she had worn the spot bare.  She would meet the sunrise every morning, and her coat would glow orange the second the sun hit her.  She had the most beautiful brown eyes, and in the midst of fall, the black on her face was shaped as a beautiful heart, you could just feel her love by looking at her, it made you feel alive. We should all feel that alive. Although, a few of our trees, that she loved to landscape did not feel alive by the time she was done, we learned to love her attention to detail and tree trimming. She loved our family walks, she loved snacks, she would always amuse us and let Lester take her rope, she just accepted this was part of deal, you just feel how much she loved the two little ‘black sheep’. She was the energy that brought us all together, she was pure love.

I noticed over the summer, she was starting to slow down, she was starting to look more ‘hippy’ and elderly.  In all honesty, there was always a part of me, that worried about her through the winter.  In the last couple of weeks, she knocked down the fence, roamed the neighborhood, pruned some trees, went for walks, ate plenty of apples, then she decided she was tired.

In her last week, she hung out in her barn, surrounded by us, Lester and Randy did not leave her side.  As Rosie always made sure life was on her terms, she decided it was her time to go.  It was a very, very hard week, it made me question all the things in my life, reminded me life is short. I spent nights with her in the barn, in the brutal cold, discussing the meaning of life.  I sat with her, knowing she was in charge, I was just holding space for her, this time I will cherish for the rest of my life.  Rosie went to heaven on 12/01/2021, she went peacefully, she was never in distress, she spent her last day soaking up the sunshine with the boys laying right by her, heaven put on a beautiful display for her, as rainbows were glowing next to the sun, she was loved by all the divine.  I have cried many tears, happy tears.

In reflecting on her life, it was such an honor to give her a place where she could live out her life.  She allowed me to be in her presence, know exactly what it feels like to experience unconditional love and know the gentleness of God’s creatures. She brought life to our home, she could make you smile with her goofy ways.  She was a complete diva, she was a princess.  She will forever hold a very special place in my heart, as I loved sharing her with the world, I love she touched so many lives, she was and always will be the anchor in my life to guide me back to the simple things. Sunshine, green grass, be present in each moment and share your love with the world. Rosie taught me, just to be me, shine no matter what. Thank you for reminding me to enjoy the sunrise every single day.  She was joy, she was love, she was sunshine on a cloudy day. We laid her to rest, in her ‘power spot’, she will forever be remembered in our hearts, the love she shared will forever be a part of my soul.  Your physical presence will be forever missed, but your energy will live on.

Thank you all for being part of our lives and loving Rosie, and sharing her love.  I promise you, she would love every single one of you.

“You can’t skip chapters, that is not how life works. You have to read every line, meet every character. You won’t enjoy all of it.  Hell, some chapters will make you cry for weeks. You will read things you don't want to read, you will have moments when you don't want the pages to end. But you have to keep going.  Stories keep the world revolving.  Live yours, don't miss out.” ~unknown

“Let all that you do be done in love”

 1 Corinthians 16:14

What I Gained By Believing In Myself

I remember family vacations as a kid, I remember spending hours doing my homework in the back of my Dad’s Lincoln while we made the 15 hour drive to South Padre Island, so we could spend a week at the ocean, fishing, walking the beach, going to Mexico, getting fresh tortillas, swimming, building sand castles, life seemed so simple then. I lived for these vacations, I loved the sunshine and ocean air, looking back now, these family vacations were everything, in all honesty, I think some of trips could have been a National Lampoon’s Vacation movie!

I have lived in Maine for many years and I have been very blessed that I have friends with boats that would gladly take me anytime I want to go, but one day I decided that I want my own boat, I want to be able to get out on the water myself, I want to haul lobster traps and tour around explore the islands. This was probably one of my more ridiculous ideas, that came with endless self doubt dialogue that played over and over in my head, but I told Mike about my idea, he said, “ok, I will find you a boat.” It did not take long, maybe a week before I was backing up my truck to pick up my little lobster boat. I looked at Mike and said, “ what if I can’t do this, what if I back the boat off the ramp, what if I hit a ledge, what if... what if.... what if.....????” My ‘what if’s were really WTH did I just do, what am I doing, I can just got out on a friends boat! Mike looked at me and calmly said, “You can do anything, you want to do, I believe in you!” Those words brought back all those fishing trips with my family and my dad teaching me how to fish, watching him and remembering my dad saying, “you will never know unless you try.”

So, I come down the driveway towing a boat, which I have never really towed anything before, let alone back down a boat ramp, and don't even get me started about getting the boat off the trailer by myself!! It was September when we brought home the boat, it stayed hooked up to the truck for a few days, I actually lost sleep thinking just thinking about backing up. I live in a community of fishermen and here I am a girl from Oklahoma that now owns a lobster fishing boat.

It was a Sunday morning, I was up early, told Mike to get ready we were taking the boat for a ride, we loaded up Babs and off we went. Mike was a little confused, he did not realize I meant taking the boat for a ride, actually meant I had been up for many nights finding isolated boat ramps, on non-fishing days so I could actually practice backing down a boat ramp with my boat. We traveled an hour from home to a tiny little town called Lubec, basically it is practically Cananda, I did not want anyone, especially anyone I know to see my first attempts at backing up a trailer.

We arrived, and the fun began. Now, Mike who had supported this entire idea, really knew nothing about backing up a trailer, NOTHING. So, here we are in this town where we did not know a soul and the fun began. I went up and down that boat ramp, side ways, sometimes half straight, up and down, for an hour or more. We laughed and I was completely over thinking the whole thing, to put in perspective how long I spent backing up and down, I had put 2 miles on the odometer. It was fun, I can say I had not really grasped the concept yet, when I looked up and there was a man standing in front of my truck, he was smiling. He said, “I own this little restaurant and we have been watching you for the last hour, we have never seen someone smile so much trying to back up a trailer, please come in and let me buy you a beer, we want to hear your story!” So, I finally parked, and we no longer were strangers in this little town, I was the girl from Oklahoma with a lobster boat. I actually managed to get down the ramp once successfully before we left for the day, it was a huge accomplishment in my book!

I spent the next two months, towing my boat everywhere, I would take it to buy groceries, just to get practice driving with a trailer, I would sneak off to every different town I could find, just to back down the ramp. By November I had put on 1,000 miles “taking my boat for a ride”! It was actually a very cold day in November when I asked a friend if he would help me put the boat in the water. I was a nervous wreck, for the first time, I was backing up the boat at my town marina, with fishermen watching and I was a shaking mess, but I did it! I managed to get the boat off, go for a ride and with some help back on the trailer. I spent there rest of the winter, towing my boat around town, I went over in my mind 10,000 times how to get it off the trailer and tried to patiently wait for Spring.

In reflecting on my ridiculous idea, it truly was not so ridiculous at all. I learned a lot about myself, I learned a lot about the support of friends and community. I feel truly blessed that I live in such a beautiful place that pushed me to do something I TRULY love, I love being on the water. To this day, we still laugh about the fall I learned to tow a boat, the memories we have made will live in our hearts. This is what sets my soul on fire, this is what keeps me connected to nature, this is what grounds me. What sets your soul on fire, what drives you?

Shifting From Busy To Content

Hi lovely people!

Let’s take a moment today about the word “busy.”

5241B4F9-1CEE-4495-951B-ACB85A0CFC18.jpeg

What moments do you think of or physically feel like when you are “busy”? For me I feel like I am doing my best to keep up with the demands of my day, doing a first rate job and meeting all of the goals I have set for myself. It also means that I am also probably neglecting a things that I shouldn’t be. Some times this looks like eating when I can, not keeping up on being hydrated properly, not moving my body as I should, not doing the things that fill my soul on a daily basis. If I am really stuck in this mindset, I’m not doing anything I’m passionate about, I don’t “have time” for those things that are so necessary to my body, mind and soul.

When I stop and reflect upon this mindset, usually because I’ve become a little grouchy and my family has let me know in their, oh so subtle ways. I usually then realize what has been driving me. Usually, money, the needs of others, the demands of others, putting everyone else first. I begin to realize that those goals that I have, are not mine. These goals are for others. I am filling people and things with the energy that I need to be giving to myself. Please do not misunderstand, I know that we need our jobs, need our relationships, however first, we need our health, mental as well as physical. We also need to love ourselves, feed our passions, nourish our spirits.

FFC5ABB3-8948-4A02-B40B-C857E7EC699C.jpeg

When I realize that I am in in this place of “busy” I now stop, literally just stop. Whatever I was doing just a second ago, I take a break from. Sometimes it can only be 10 minutes, but I take it. I used to apologize to myself, but now I congratulate myself on recognizing that I have been being “busy” and make a shift in my mindset. I check in with myself to see how I am feeling throughout my body, ask myself to be present in this moment. I can usually feel that my body is tired from pushing through the day, and talk to myself gently and let myself know I am aware I need to shift priorities back to myself. I take a moment to become aware of my surroundings and my place in within it. To become content within right where I am.

It took me a while to be able to change my mindset to being content instead of being busy. “Busy”would sweep me up and demanded its needs be met. I had to start actively finding what in each area in my life made me content. I did this one step at a time, when things where calm. Literally, when I wake up I give myself a few minutes to go over a small segment of my day to find what about that part of the day I can find contentment in. Which one on my senses in a certain place or or situation lead to feelings of contentment. To be honest there may not be feelings of contentment there yet, we have not been taught to take moments and be present and enjoy part of it to the point where contentment can be reached. When this happens I work on thinking of being in those moments and then remind myself what I feel when I am content, when love and satisfaction of just being aware of what is present for me. This starts a correlation of being content even when “busy” is trying to take over. I only work on one situation in the morning. As I continue to practice this in the mornings I find my mind wandering during other moments of my day, recognizing contentment when it happens, or even thinking if I did something in a different way, it would be much more enjoyable and pleasing. In time I have been able to recognize when I needed to stop, center myself and regroup to meet my needs as well. I have given myself the time and attention to create a new mindset and tools that work for me that stop me from being “busy” to content in the surroundings of my life, and yes I too am an important part of this landscape.

This does takes time and you need to give yourself grace when it doesn’t happen immediately. Practice and patience is what will get you going and move you forward. It will help you be aware of yourself and your surroundings, and truly shift your perspective on how you are an integral part of this world and how you thrive, grow and love is at the heart of what you are doing here.

You will find yourself more settled, content, and having more energy, for you have given to yourself as well as to others. I encourage you to find and practice the little things that shift your focus form being “busy”, to being present, learning what part of moments you can take pleasure in, and still get complete the necessities of the your daily life. That first night when you relax or put yourself to bed and can say to yourself that you are wholly satisfied with your day, and it is because you chose to be aware and live in each moment, that my lovely people is some powerful healing. I promise it is worth the work, everyday.

Love and Blessings,

Thea

Perspective

Living in Maine has given me many gifts, as well as learning about the seasons and what each one has to offer. While the world climate as a whole seems to be changing, so have the seasons I have grown to love in Maine. After reading Thea’s beautiful words about finding your passion, I realized I have many. One, which is not my first on the list, is flowers. I love flowers, all flowers. I love color. I love hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. Every spring I watch with amazement as little sprigs of green start sprouting out of the ground, saying “hello” from a long winters nap. It is the cycle of life and the internal beauty of it all. As the earth warms and the sun holds it’s space long in the sky, those little sprouts transform themselves and as summer approaches the magic is about to happen.

Now, of course, for years I tended my gardens with a flock of chickens which are rather helpful, but along came Randy (the best black sheep ever). Randy has definitely created some gardening challenges, most of which I approach as a competition. Some days, he does win more than I would like. After not being able to figure out the best way to Randy-proof my beloved gardens and flower pots last year, 2021 was going to be my year. A full week into summer and I AM WINNING!!! (knock on wood). My perineal beds look like fortresses of metal ‘decorative’ fencing, endless amounts of bamboo sticks, odd yard pieces blocking the ‘weaker’ areas of protection. They look amazing. Go team Nicole. While I have spent hours weeding, edging and improving my soil to make those gardens flourish, there is something more about flowers that I love.

IMG_2510.jpeg

There is a magical feeling in the air when the end of spring is near and the green houses start to open. The anticipation of seeing the color and the smell of nature after a winter hibernation. It expands the senses and reminds me everyday about the cycle of life. Of course, in planning my annual flowers, which are simply a labor of love. I lug out all my pots from the shed, prepare them with fresh soil and get ready for opening day. I find myself at my favorite greenhouse the day the flowers arrive, of course living in a small town, I keep in close contact with the owner!! It could be rain or shine, but I am there picking out all colors of the rainbow, smiling from ear to ear, talking to the flowers and filling my cart. Once my truck is full and my heart is happy, off I go. I spend the next few days mixing colors and figuring out how to protect them from Randy, he loves flowers too. This has been a great year for my flower pots, protected from Randy, they are flourishing in the summer sun! Since this summer has decided it is going to be the hottest one on record, watering has become very much a full time job. Can you imagine it takes 3 hours a day, to water flowers and all the animals? It has become part of my exercise routine lugging around 300 feet of hose and IT IS WORTH every second!! Even on the dark foggy Maine days my flowers are bright and cheerful making my soul smile. It truly is a passion enjoying what nature has to offer. I am looking forwards to what lies ahead for the summer and I don't even get me started talking about Fall Mums!!! While this seems like work, it is what helps keep me in nature, keeps me outside and remembering with care we can all keep blooming, even when the flowers fade there are deep roots that keep us planted.

All My Best,

Dr. Nicole

Working with Crystals: Black Tourmaline and Celestite

Hello to all of you lovely people!

We are going to go over two different types of crystals this week. Black Tourmaline, and because we have just come out of Mercury Retrograde this week, Celestite as well.

We will start with Black Tourmaline. The picture you see here is Black Tourmaline combined with a clear quartz crystal. Generally, if you are looking them up and finding them for sale in shops and online you will most likely see an all-black crystal.

Black Tourmaline protects from electromagnetic energy, negative energy, and psychic attacks. It helps to cleanse and purify. It can also transform dense energy into higher, lighter vibrations. This makes Black Tourmaline wonderful for cleansing your aura. It also helps to release negative thoughts, anger, and unworthiness while assisting in enhancing positive thinking and creativity. It can assist in grounding your spiritual energy to the Earth and help with clearing and balancing all of the chakras, but especially your base chakra.

To start working with Black Tourmaline remember to clear the energy from your crystal, ask for its assistance. Then, set an intention you would like to be assisted with. Remember this is a crystal that can be used in all areas of the body. If you like you can amplify its properties by using a clear quartz crystal with it as well.

This piece of Black Tourmaline is combined with crystal quartz and was found here in Maine!

This piece of Black Tourmaline is combined with crystal quartz and was found here in Maine!

If you would like more information about the crystals we present here, please do! You can also use books like “The Crystal Bible, A Definitive Guide to Crystals” by Judy Hall, she actually has three books full of information. We find these books invaluable.

IMG_2156.jpeg

This second crystal is called Celestite. Celestite is a blue crystal with high vibration, it is usually found in clusters or in a geode form.

This crystal is wonderful to use after coming out of Mercury Retrograde. You just spent a couple of weeks working directly with letting go of things that are not working for you, and now you are moving on to finding new paths, thoughts, experiences, etc… Celestite has several attributes that will be especially helpful during this time. Celestite helps to calm and sharpen the mind. It has a sweet and gentle energy that assists in inner peace and is also strong in assisting us to be open to new opportunities and experiences. It helps sharpen the mind while helping us stay calm and alleviates worry. It brings great assistance when planning new paths forward.

Celestite is also known to have strong metaphysical properties and will help you develop gifts that include connecting with your guardian angels, purifying and cleansing energy in a room, and even psychic prophecy or precognition.

Celeste works well with your throat chakra, and third eye and can make a direct connection from your third eye to your crown chakra. This can help facilitate higher spiritual awareness.

Also, with this crystal, we need to mention a couple of things about the care of your crystals. First, some crystals need to be kept out of direct sunlight or they fade, Celestite is one of these crystals. Second, there are many stones that you cannot get wet or they will start to dissolve, many of them end with “ite.” Celestite is one of these stones as well, so when clearing this crystal use a method that does not use water or salt water.

We hope that you have found some valuable information here, and have found a place to start you exploration of these crystals.

Passions, Priorities, and Healing

I myself met Dr. Nicole when I was in a very difficult place in my life and she started me on my healing journey. Like many I wanted to do everything and get it done with, but healing does not work that way. Changing foods and adding supplements is the tip of the iceberg. No argument, they do make you feel better and get your body more in balance, give you more energy, and cleanse you of what is hurting your body. However, other things are more challenging, let’s talk about self-care that does not include the dietary changes you have made for yourself. These are the changes you need to make for your mind and your spirit. You know those self-care things we are all supposed to do, say we know how important it is, but just can’t fit in anything more right now, we will get to them when we have time, money, energy, after work is finished, after I get my children get a bit older, my wants can wait for now…the excuses are endless and let’s be honest we know better.

What we don’t realize is, the things that feed our minds and spirits are the things that we are passionate about, get creative with and do our best interactions in and with this world. These things my lovely people are not wants, they are needs for our hearts and souls. Those moments with working with what we love to do are a very big part of what sustains us, and makes us thrive.

During those first few years (yes, years, I’m stubborn and willful and at that time fought everything as if it where an epic battle, epic things take a lot of time) while attempting to gain balance within myself physically, mentally and spiritually, I thought the only thing I could do was take care of my body. During this time of healing I had low energy and my body hurt. Somedays I could not get off the couch. I would knit, crochet spinning, embroider and everything I could get my hands on to explore deeper into in the fiber arts world. I felt like I was being lazy, I should push myself more housework, cleaning, working part time and being a mom taxi and I did. However, those where the days are when I felt the worst, but thought I felt better mentally because, I overcame my bodies limitations and strained it again in order to get what I though was most important done. This stagnated my progress for quite some time.

During my first year of healing I spent enough time on that couch to make enough things to have a homemade Christmas for my family, our parents and closest friends. This completely elated me, and my family as well. I went into the next year knowing I would do better. Of course that meant being 100% in a couple of months, right? Well, no, but I did improve. However, I was still missing the point of what was actually helping me heal and move forward. Every hat, mitten, sock, sweater, afghan, and piece of art work was an act of saving myself at the time. While creating I was immersed in learning, making, feeling excited and building a passion for something new. This creating was moving me forward, making me want to get up, feeling good about myself for what I was creating, no matter how bad I was at it in the beginning. I found that wanting to create made me not only want to live, but to be active, participate in life and continue exploring what I love to do.

Your interests and passions most likely live elsewhere than where I found mine to be, but the amount of self-care you give to yourself while pursuing what you love, gives so much more love, healing and self-worth back to you, it is priceless. It does not have to be a full time job, and probably at the moment it cannot be, however, making time for it daily even just a few minutes to move a project forward bit by bit is fulfilling. This is a big thing asking yourself to make yourself a priority, a number one priority at that, for just a little while each day. How could we think we did not have time for this? Why we are not worth our own time? I found I had to do it before I could understand why it was helping me, and I found that it made it easier to give to others when I had already created the”love” they needed me to give, it had been created when I was creating. This has increased my ability to give, rather than feel like it was being drained from me.

So, what is it that you are passionate about, curious about, want to learn about, want to say yes to? How about making your passion a priority?

Love and Blessings,

Thea

Working with Crystals: Clear Quartz

Good day lovely people! Dr. Nicole and I are starting to bring new tools to the website to assist you in your healing. We will slowly be rolling out new things for you over the next couple of months. Today we are starting by adding with Working with Crystals to your tool box.

Many of you may already know this information, but sometimes a quick review will also give you a needed reminder of a crystal’s properties or just a word that resonates with an intention you feel you need to make.

If you are new to working with crystals please enjoy the information that you find here, and let it lead you to explore if it captures your attention.

D4097F66-666C-481B-88B1-66A74AD4830F.jpeg

Today we start with Clear Quartz, due to its specificl crystalline structure it is the most powerful healing and energy amplifying crystal. It can be found all over the world and is known to be called the universal crystal do to its many uses. It is able to enhance energy by absorbing, storing, amplifying, balancing, focusing and transmitting it.

This crystal is helpful to the body, mind, and spirit. For healing it is helpful with any condition for it helps with the immune system and helps bring your body back into balance. It helps to cleanse and purify as well. I can be used for any part of the body and chakra. For the mind it improves concentration, and balances it with the body and spirit. For the spirit, it helps raise your energy to its highest level, back into harmony and balance, before you knew dis-ease.

Clear quartz is also helpful in the amplification of properties with all other crystals when they are used together.

To start working with this crystal, choose one that calls to you. Crystals need to be cleared of any energy that they have come in contact with or previous use, you are going to be creating a ‘blank slate” so to speak to work on the energy you want to work with. You can do this by running this crystal under the tap, in a water fall, cleansing it in the ocean or other salt water, smudging or letting it sit under a full or new moon. Please choose what ever cleansing technique call to you.

After this is done, sit with the piece of Quartz in your hand or on any part of the body you wish to focus on, it should be rather easy, quartz with help you with your focus as well. Be clear on what you would like assistance with. Remember it can be used anywhere one the body, for need of clarity for the mind, and helps raise your spiritual energy in matters in this area as well.

Make sure you give yourself enough time to work with your crystal, that your words, prayers and intentions are clear, you feel that you have been heard and have allowed the changes that you are seeking to start to take place for you. Trust yourself to know this has started.

Quartz is also helpful when you focus on an affirmation or mantra in regards of what you would like assistance with.

Questions to ponder:

What would you like to have healing assistance with?

Do you need something to come into focus? into balance?

Do you need assistance in spiritual work?

Love and Blessings,

Thea

Please let us know if there is additional information you would like about crystals themselves, we will have a Q&A answering post as well!

The Energy Around You and Healing

I sat down this morning to see what type of energy will be coming along in the next couple of weeks. This helps to me to be mindful of signs that occur around me, and help me see the connections that are being made between what I am experiencing on my journey and how it is influenced by the energies around me. So, I pulled cards from a few different oracle card sets that called to me, and as well as speaking to me, they also where meant to share with you.

The first card comes from the Gaia Oracle cards. The card I chose was PEACE - the dissolving unwanted or disturbing thoughts. This card is about “worry”, in a world that continually feels so unsettled, all the time. It is easy to fall into worry or fear, then it manifests in every cell of our bodies. Once this happens, panic sets in. It is a truly vicious cycle. Allow PEACE to sit with you, allow it to settle within you. As this process happens, the energy will start to feel positive and light. Be patient, it is not one of the easiest places to be. Imagine yourself surrounded by love and light, allow your focus to travel to one of your favorite places, be grateful for everything in your life. May your heart be filled with love and surrounded by the love on this earth.

The second card comes from The Native Heart Healing Oracle, The selected card was RECORD KEEPER. The mandala holds the energy of Wisdom and brings forth the divine guidance of the ancient ways. You am being asked to open you heart and listen. Being open to the idea you are not sure what you will hear or feel, but your are being asked to trust that you are moving forward in the way in which you are divinely guided.

The third card comes from the Archangel Micheal Oracle. The card here if FORGIVENESS. Forgive yourself. Forgive others. Allow forgiveness into your heart so that you may move forward in love and peace. This one “should” be easy, allowing the emotions to come, forgive and find joy in being free of the weight of your own thoughts. Although this is easy to do, you may have to do it several times over until your heart and mind are in agreement that this is so, with every repetition it becomes easier.

The forth and final card comes from Animal Speak. The card is RAVEN. While I was out on a walk with Lester, I found a Raven’s feather, and here the animal message shows up again. Raven is about transition, energy in motion, it is the keeper of secrets and brings messages between the heavens and earth, when life is difficult. It touches the areas of rebirth and renewal, tearing down and rebuilding, becoming comfortable with oneself, and transforming difficulties into blessings.

We are meant to hear all of these things together for they are all intertwined, having cause and effects on one another. However, you may feel connected to some parts of these cards more than others. How do these cards resonate with you? If you feel draw to one, two or more, why? How do their messages a apply to you? What part of your journey are they drawing you to? Please sit with these messages that are telling you where the energy of the next few weeks can take you. What areas of healing are ready to be addressed in your journey? Be open to the possibilities, and the opportunities that come forth for you.

All My Best,

Dr. Nicole

What Brings You Joy?

What really brings you joy?

Is the sun on your face that warms the body through?

The sound of someone’s laughter that makes you grin?

The quiet of a morning sunrise until you notice the chorus of the birds?

Greeting the morning no matter the weather, ready to see what today has in store.

Greeting the morning no matter the weather, ready to see what today has in store.

The five minutes breathing that relaxes your shoulders and clears the mind?

Reading a book all afternoon?

Taking time to enjoy your tea?

Creating with your own hands, heart, and imagination?

There are so many more that I could list, but I find the underlying theme is taking time to do what makes our hearts happy. To slow down enough to witness, enjoy and reflect on a moment, task, or creative endeavor. To help you get into the slower place I thought I would share one moment with you.

I exhale loudly as I give myself a momentary break from prepping gardening beds. I look up at the sun and all at the same time the sun warms my face as a breeze cools me off, my back is bit achey, my hands are throbbing a bit from meeting my demands of them, I can smell fresh earth and I feel the dirt on my hands as well as on my feet, and I start to remember all of my gardens past, and planning this years garden all at the same time. It is all so beautiful and there is so much of this beauty that surrounds me. It fills my heart with joy. I saw, smelled, and felt all of this within seconds, but I take the time to enjoy each in turn.

You see, doing what brings you joy has a long story in your heart. When you first encountered it, how you made it part of you, and how you grow and learn with it. This is not to say you do not find new things everyday that can bring joy and awe into your life. But the next time you encounter them, you have a possibility of choosing to make it a part of your continuing journey, and this conscious choice expands your heart.

My daily walk with Rosie, Lester and Randy

The more time I take to witness each in turn the slower things seem to move, my pace slows down, its history combines with that moment and my heart is filled, for this am truly grateful, for every encounter before and for the present moment. The more time I take in experiencing the joy of a moment, the deeper it lives in my heart, and I can use this memory to settle me when I need to remember what brings me joy and the feelings that accompany it, and experience it all again. It is what feels my soul and helps in creating my new ways to fuel and explore what I am most passionate about.

Please take a moment to slow your pace, do what you enjoy or go over slowly in your mind what brings you joy on this journey. How do you feel? How does it change your mood, fill you, challenge you? Does it make you passionate? Does it feed your soul?

What Brings You Joy?

Please go do that thing! ❤️

All My Best,

Dr. Nicole
